During the pandemic I was fortunate enough to attend several leadership conferences from the comfort of my home. While attending IDSA's 2021 Women in Design, I was able to connect with several inspirational female design leaders in my field. In my experience throughout University and through several internships I never had a female role model in the design industry. Being able to hear their stories was inspirational. A few of them had suggested furthering my own education to prepare myself to be that mentor I never had.

It was from these conversations I happened upon Georgetown Universities Masters in Design Management and Communication program. Hailing from Maryland and recognizing the value in asynchronous education I knew this was the program for me.

Once accepted, I began my journey on becoming a better leader while fine tuning my design skills to be applied in real time to my work.
