Spin Master | Outdoor Product Design (2022–2025)
This collection showcases a sampling of the projects I led and contributed to at Spin Master between 2022 and 2025, spanning the outdoor pool and beach category. As the key designer across multiple brands—including Coop, Water Sports, Mainline Children’s, Gen Z, Adult Floats, and Target’s exclusive Sunsquad line—I focused on trend-driven innovation, seasonal storytelling, and user-centered design. From concept to final execution, these projects highlight my work in product development, print and pattern design, and color strategy across licensed and non-licensed assortments.
Coop
As the lead designer for Coop, I focused on refreshing this heritage outdoor sports brand with bold, energetic graphics and contemporary color palettes. I conducted market research and competitor analysis to inform print and product updates that would resonate with Gen Z and family audiences alike. The result: a cohesive seasonal assortment that elevated play and stood out at retail. Each year we developed 2-3 new innovative skus to keep the brand relevant and fresh.
Water Sports
For the Water Sports line, I developed high-impact, activity-driven designs for pool and beach gear that emphasized movement, energy, and outdoor fun. I utilized trend forecasting and consumer insights to guide print and pattern development, aligning designs with performance and accessibility across age groups. Each year we developed 4-5 new items to ensure the brand was always capturing the latest trends in the sporting goods catgeory.
Mainline Children’s
Designing for the Mainline Children’s swim category required balancing playful aesthetics with trust and safety. I created engaging prints and patterns tailored for early swimmers, often incorporating friendly characters, soft textures, and age-appropriate themes. Designs were informed by user feedback and research on how children interact with color and shape in aquatic environments.
Gen Z & Adult Floats
I led design direction for trend-forward float collections targeted toward Gen Z and adult consumers. These products were developed with a focus on social media appeal, aesthetics, and seasonal color trends. From conceptual ideation to print execution, the goal was to design floats that felt fresh, Instagram-ready, and expressive of personal style.
Target Sunsquad
Working closely with Target’s internal team, I developed seasonal assortments for the Sunsquad line from 2023 through 2025. This included exclusive float designs, patterns, and colorways tailored to Target's audience and brand voice. I contributed to trend research, mood board creation, and coordinated storytelling across product families to create a unified and joyful summer collection.
